Festivals and events celebrating the performing and visual arts are annual favourites in Lunenburg!

The Boxwood Festival, The Folk Harbour Festival, Gallery Hops and the Folk Art Festival, just to name a few (see our Festivals and Events section for more details).

Lunenburg's brightly painted "streetscapes" of preserved architecture, many turned into lovely B&Bs, are a photographer's dream. The sea and the history of the town have attracted many artists/galleries. Over 20 art galleries exhibit works ranging from sculptural metal, marble and wood to exquisite photography, original prints and paintings.

A wide variety of exceptional gift shops complement the shopping experience--all within easy walking distance of each other.
