Minutes of Lunenburg Board of Trade Council Meeting

5pm August 13; at the LBoT Boardroom

Present:        Pamela Baltzer,  Katherine Eisenhauer, Tim Lekhi,  Lynne MacKay.  Jamie Myra, Tim Reibling, Willie Wells.   Guests: Renea Babineau, Kandace Forward.

Regrets:       Ioan Ciente, Susan Corkum-Greek, Claude Baril, Eva Ziegler

Call to order:    5:11pm by President Tim Lekhi. 

Motion: (JM)    To approve agenda and set adjournment for 7pm. - Passed

Motion: (LM)    Approval of minutes of the June 4 Board meeting.  – Passed

Business Arising:        $729.06 for stair repair. Light(s) on stairs needed. Solar power suggested.

Motion: (LM)    To replace the light bulb in the commercial fixture that provides lighting for the steps  and get a serviceable timer for it. (AVS). Passed(?)

New Business: (TL)     Canadian Chamber of Commerce AGM; Renea to send agenda to Council.

                        (LM)     Report on initial PFL findings; 50% of survey  respondents think that Lunenburg assuming a leadership role is important

                        Lynne’s read: More important that it gets done.

Committees:     Campground / VIC:      July 2019 Campground  Report.

                                                            New business: Folk Harbour Society Sponsorship request

                                                            LBoT to draft a letter to Folk Harbour Executive to express our appreciation for their level of organization this year.

                        Strategic Planning: Update on Strategic Planning Activities (LM) Disseminate framework.
