107.9 Go Rock Wins a 2024 Canadian Radio Award in the Sound of Success category.

LUNENBURG, NS – 107.9 Go Rock has been awarded the prestigious Sound of Success award at

the 2024 Canadian Radio Awards, recognizing the station for the best smaller market radio

marketing campaign in Canadian broadcasting. The Sound of Success award from Canada’s

leading broadcasting publication, Broadcast Dialogue, celebrates excellence in radio marketing,

with 107.9 Go Rock emerging as the top choice among entries for smaller markets across the

nation.

Competing against stations owned by massive corporate-owned media giants, the locally owned

and operated 107.9 Go Rock stood out as the winner. A jury of seasoned radio professionals

selected Go Rock’s marketing campaign as the best in the country in smaller radio markets,

highlighting its exceptional creativity.

Scott Clements, owner of 107.9 Go Rock and a proud Lunenburg County resident, shared his

excitement:

"We are thrilled to receive national recognition from our peers. To earn this after being on the air for

a few months and being locally owned shows the power of locally focused radio. We approach

everything we do from a 2024 viewpoint to get 2024 results, and this tells us we are on the right

path.”

The win is a significant milestone for the station, which launched just months ago with a mission to

provide a fresh, community-driven approach to rock radio. The Go Rock Campaign captured

listeners' and advertiser's attention with its bold, off-the-wall creative storytelling and dynamic

presentation, resonating with local audiences and the broader radio industry.

This award solidifies 107.9 Go Rock as a rising star in Canadian broadcasting and underscores the

strength of independent, locally owned radio.
