Agenda Item: Introduction of new LBOT council Member German Acosta from ACLA        Presenter: Kandace Forward

Discussion: German was officially welcomed to the LBOT, German provided the current LBOT council a introduction and advised of his current role as the recruiter for his business and his involvement within our community

Agenda Item: Conservation District & By Law Presentations                 Presenter: Hilary Grant TOL

Discussion: Hilary Grant the TOL Heritage officer provided the LBOT a in depth presentation of the Heritage By laws updates, we also had a question-and-answer segment. Hillary advised that the earliest for the second stage of public Consultation would be September 2023

Agenda Item: Oktoberfest                                                                                  Presenter: Kandace

Discussion: Kandace gave update on the planning for Oktoberfest, she requested approval to book the musicians. Council advised to go a head. Kandace requested for the LBOT to contribute $3000 toward the Oktoberfest event.

Conclusions: Kandace Forward secured The Navigators from NFLD and Andy MacDonald from Cape Breton for the main stage.

Agenda Item: Doc Fest letter of Support                                                       Presenter: Kandace

Discussion: Doc Fest requested the LBOT to sign a letter of support for their “Docs on the Dock “series

Agenda Item: Destination Lunenburg Website                                          Presenter: Kandace

Discussion: Kandace Advised that the TOL had received a $15,000 grant to create a Destination Lunenburg website for all businesses in Lunenburg. Kandace and Micheal Best will work together to promote it. There will be a small fee associated with joining and in the future the LBOT will take over the admin of the website.

Conclusions: The Deadline was extended, and Kandace will be personally going door to door in the community to gain more interested and show value
