LBOT Minutes                                       December 10, 2025

No business arising from the minutes

Item: Directors Positions 2026.     Presenter: Martin Ruiz Salvadore

AGM will be Held on January 22nd at 6pm at LAMP

Cost is $75 an hour

Adam will be doing bar and Cams Coastal Catering will be providing food.

Item: Town rep on LBOT.           Presenter: Robin Joost

We have no problem with having a representative from Town of Lunenburg join us. Our goal is to work with the town. There may be the occasion they may have to leave when certain things are being discussed.

We decided to ask Alison Strachan to be our guest speaker at AGM and chat about the benefits of being involved with the LBOT.

The TOL member would be an affiliate and not have a vote. Kandace will check bylaws about that first to be sure

Alison will be voted in at AGM.

Kandace will send out email to ask who’s is reoffering

Martin will sign today. Costs going up will be discussed in the new year.

Store products need to be added and splitting revenue from that out.

Separate professional fees (consulting fees etc)

Oktoberfest planners need to submit their finances.

Robin noted that any new construction they only need to provide 50% parking

Any business can sell their parking to housing

Kandace will ask for the towns bylaw.

This is a platform to book campground sites.

Last year it was free and we had people use this to book 27 spots. Starting in 2026 they want 12.9%.

We decided the rate is too high and we will not be continuing with them

They reached out and offered free HR

We decided to defer until January.

Item: Grant Options/ SKILLS.         Presenter: Kandace Forward

Kandace has applied for grants for summer positions.

Last year we received a SKILLS  & CSJ grants.

We would like a summer position that manages social media for 8 weeks.

In  September  we will have the 100th anniversary of the August Gales , the museum has applied for a$100,000  legacy grant and the LBOT  will assist with the event if they get the funding

Bluenose Academy are looking for volunteers. Kandace will help with  school lunches.
