Minutes of Lunenburg Board of Trade Council meeting

5:15pm; February 23, 2021; at the LBoT Boardroom

Present:           Susan Corkum Greek, Gale Fullerton, Lynne MacKay, Jamie Myra, Willie Wells.  Staff: Administration Assistant; Renea Babineau, Campground Mgr; Kandace Forward

Update:    Lorne Spence is not reoffering and Alicia Vande de Sande has resigned.

Call to Order:   5:20pm by Jamie Myra.                       

Approval of Agenda:   (JM) Adjournment set for 6:30pm.

Approval of Minutes from previous meeting:  (GF, WW)

Business Arising        

(Renea Babineau); AGM Date and Format – April 14; Venue TBA.   Guest Speaker – Witty. Energetic and can keep it short. Any ideas?

New Business:            

(LM); EV Charging Stations: Mahone Bay is putting in 5 charging stations this year. LCAC removed 8-10 from their parking lot. (poor location, not used. Parking in general had inconsistent enforcement.

(Renea Babineau); E Transfer policy: Will come to next meeting with Draft Policy.  

(Renea Babineau); Bluenose 100 Contest Prize: Commercial Window Decorating Contest. LBoT has allocated $300. There also have been some interesting entries in the Snowman Contest.

(Kandace Forward, JM); Window replacement: Leaks have continued to plague the blockhouse despite numerous attempts to strip and re-caulk windows.

Motion: (LM, SCG);      To accept the quote from Robin Joost of $8800 to replace all windows in the building – Passed.

Motion: (LM, SCG);      For Robin Joost to construct a Firewood Barn for a quoted price of $2200. (price includes site prep and delivery) – Passed.

(WW); Any travel times in promotional material we control should be realistic.
