Council Minutes January 18 2022

 

 Minutes from the Lunenburg Board of Trade Council meeting:

5:15pm; January 18, 2022; via Zoom

 

Present:  Gale Fullerton, Jason Huskilson, Robin Joost,  Jamie Myra, Will Wells.                                                    Staff: Administration Assistant; Renea Babineau, Campground Mgr; Kandace Forward.

 

Call to Order:   5:34pm by Jamie Myra.                       

Approval of Minutes from previous meeting:  (RJ, GF) – Passed.

Business Arising:       

Repayment of CEBA loans. Repayment Deadline; December. 2023.

 

New Business:            

Bike Lane: Jamie solicited comments from Lunenburg and beyond.

Snowflake Lights: Time to get them down.

50/50 Draws: Some organizations make too much work and/or charge big fees. Read the fine print.

Lunenburg Ocean Centre, (LOC), Looking for letters of support.

Motion: (GF, RJ): To write a letter of support for LOC. – Passed.

Future Plans, re: Campground Lease; There has been an offer from the   Fisheries Museum to give us space for meetings and a VIC on the waterfront. No sign of progress on the Town plan to develop the Campground land.  

(Renea Babineau): Forming Committees and planning meetings.

(Renea Babineau): Repayment of CEBA loans.

Motion: (GF, SE): To move $40,000 to a GIC until it is time to repay. – Passed.

(Kandace Forward): Has been approached by the Lunenburg Academy to work there for 20 hr/wk.

(Gale Fullerton): ´We are done with the bylaws. It’s time to look at Policies and  Procedures.”
