Council Minutes February 28th 2022

 Minutes from the Lunenburg Board of Trade Council meeting:

5:15pm; February 28, 2022

Present:    Sam Eisener, Gale Fullerton, Jason Huskilson (Zoom), Jamie Myra, Will Wells.                                       

Staff: Administration Assistant; Renea Babineau, Campground Mgr; Kandace Forward.

Regrets:  Robin Joost (sick)

Call to Order:   5:18pm by Jamie Myra.

Approval of Agenda and Set Time for Adjournment: (WW, GF) – Passed.

Approval of Minutes from Previous Meeting: (GF, SE) – Passed.

Corrospondence:   Letter from Bernard Smith re: inconsistent hours of business for the week  leading up to Christmas.

Business Arising:       

(JM): Bike Lane Meeting Update: Move Pilot Project From June to October to reduce effect on businesses in the area. Gale will attend their next meeting.         

New Business:            

(RJ): Blockhouse Hill Deed Questions:

 Motion: (GF, SE): To approve up to $1500 for Legal Fees to determine the ownership of our building; the Blockhouse. – Passed.

(RB, GF): Draft Budget and Ethics policies for review.

  Motion: (GF, JH): To approve the Members Code of Ethics and Draft Budget as presented.  – Passed.

 Our Administrative Assistant and Campground Manager were excused early so staff summer wages could be discussed.

Motion: (GF, JH): To increase the hourly rate for summer student employees for the VIC  and Campground - Passed.

Motion: (GF, SE): To increase the hourly rate by 10% pending performance review in March.- Passed.
