Minutes of Lunenburg Board of Trade Council meeting

5:15pm; June 22, 2021; at the LBoT Boardroom

Present:        Gale Fullerton, Carmen Jaeger, Robin Joost, Lynne MacKay; Jamie Myra, Willie Wells.             Staff: Administration Assistant; Renea Babineau, Campground Mgr; Kandace Forward.

Call to Order:   5:25pm by Jamie Myra.                       

Approval of Agenda:   (LM, GF) Adjournment set for 6:15pm. - Passed

Approval of Minutes from previous meeting:  (WW, GF) – Passed

Business Arising from Minutes:

NETFLIX will be out of Campground Sept. 5

New Business             

(JM); New Council Members:   Robin Joost – Treasurer; Carmen Jaeger – Member at Large

(JM); Budget for 2021: Summary – Revenue: $285,500,  Expenses: 258,050,  Net Profit: 27,450 

Motion: (RJ, GF)      To accept the 2021 Budget as presented – Passed.                                      

(JM); AGM Deferral Date and Plans: Deferred to next meeting 

(JM); Plans for Dufferin St Info Booths: Give them to the town.           

(JM); AGM deferral date and plans: Deferred to next meeting.

(JM); COVID19 Recovery / Discussion session: SCG attended meeting in Mahone Bay.

(Renea Babineau, Kandace Forward); Questions about Report writing.

  (Renea Babineau): Policy Writing – Making a list of items that require policies, ie (spending limits).

(Kandace Forward): Phase 3 Staffing Plans.

Motion: (LM, WW)        To get Waterfront VIC ready; bring Staff back Full Time.

Motion: (LM, GF)          To Budget $1000 for PPE for waterfront VIC – Passed.

Support Lunenburg Folk Harbour Festival by placing an ad in programme.   (no motion needed)
