Minutes of Lunenburg Board of Trade Council Meeting

5:15pm; October 27, 2020; at the LBoT Boardroom

Present:           Susan Corkum Greek, Gale Fullerton, Jason Huskilson, Jamie Myra, Lorne Spence,  Alicia Van de Sande, Willie Wells. Staff: Administration Assistant; Renea Babineau, Campground Mgr; Kandace Forward

Call to Order:   5:16pm by Jamie Myra.                       

Approval of Agenda:   (JM) Adjournment set for 6:30pm.

Approval of Minutes from previous meeting:  (GF, LS)

New Business:

(RB);     AGM Date; January 21, 2021. Format and Location to be determined.

(JM);     Christmas Contest Calibration: Events in Bridgewater and Halifax have been cancelled. Jamie suggested that the Lunenburg Board of Trade sponsor a Commercial Decoration contest and the Town of Lunenburg sponsor a Residential Decoration Contest. Jamie and Kandace will meet with Town Hall.

(GF);     Status of other Christmas Events: It was agreed not to have fireworks this  year.  The tradition of the Lighting of the Trees should continue.

(JM);     Funding for Campground Improvements, (ie; washroom) Is there any federal  assistance available?

(JM);     Additional CEBA Funding

(GF);     Gale offered to work with Renea promoting membership.
