Minutes of Lunenburg Board of Trade Council Meeting

5pm – November 12, 2019; at the Savvy Sailor

Present:        Pamela Baltzer, Claude Baril, Susan Corkum Greek,  Katherine Eisenhauer, Tim Lekhi, Lynne MacKay.  Jamie Myra,  Lorne Spence, Willie Wells.

Regrets:        Alicia Van de Sande.    

Approval of Agenda: (JM)      Adjournment set for 6:45pm.

Approval of Minutes of October 22: (JM)

Motion: (JM)     To record In Camera time from beginning to end. – Passed.

Committee Reports:    Finance (CB):   Smaller deficit than budgeted ($2,000 vs $16,000). Membership is lower.. VIC expenditures: Budget $14,000. Spent $19,000

                                    Events (JM):     Town finally gave permits for Yuletide Festival. LBoT contribution for 2019 Fireworks. Motion: (SCG)  LBoT to contribute up to $2,000 to cover expenses for Yuletide Festival (CB) – Passed.

                                    VIC:  Quote for tile replacement in Bathroom - $1,535.75 Motion: (LM)    To hire Todd Rose to do the tile replacement for $1,535.75  (LS) – Passed.   and get a quote to repair the leaky window in the blockhouse stairway.

       (LS) get quote on new computer for VIC.

                                    Campground:   Get quote for proper bases for shower stalls.

                                    Conflict of Interest Policy – Pamela will send out.

                                    President (TL): Folk Harbour Site Booking Request. Some performers are                                                                       requesting specific site for weekend.

Motion: (JM)     To donate requested site. (LM) – Passed.  AGM catering. Approach Kate (Bicycle) for catering snacks and   finger foods. Budget $500. Discussions about our Mandate – What next? What are we to take on and achieve? What will make LBoT a relevant  organization? What will we present to the general membership re: Charting the Future?
