Minutes of Lunenburg Board of Trade Council Meeting

5pm - October 22, 2019; at the Savvy Sailor

Present:        Pamela Baltzer, Claude Baril, Susan Corkum Greek,  Katherine Eisenhauer, Tim Lekhi,  Lynne MacKay.  Jamie Myra,  Lorne Spence,  Alicia Van de Sande, Willie Wells, Eva Ziegler.            

Guest Speaker:       Yvonne Mosley from Lunenburg Lyme Association. There will be a Lyme conference at the Cineplex in Bridgewater November 16 and 17th.Issue: Lyme not being diagnosed.

Format: Nov. 16, 9am-1pm: Lyme SOS; (for Medical/ Health Care Professionals)  Nov. 17, 9am-1pm: Lyme 101; ( for the General Public ) Focus:  on prevention and education. Conference costs: approx.. $23,000

Motion: (CB)     To make a donation of $1,500 to Lunenburg Lyme Association to help offset Conference costs. (EZ) – Passed.

Call to Order:   5:24pm by President Tim Lekhi.

Motion: (WW)   Approval of minutes of the October 1 Board meeting subject to the removal of guest speaker. October 1 meeting had no guest speaker (LM)  – Passed

Business Arising:

            + Communications Policy Draft  (deferred from  June Meeting) (SCG)

Motion: (EZ)     To accept Communication Policy Draft as good. (PB) – Passed

New Business:

            + Sending Bylaws to Membership. (CB) Motion: (JM)     To accept Bylaws as good and send them out to the membership. (KE) – Passed.

            + TIANS (TL): Our President will attend.

            + AGM Agenda and Details. (PB), (CB) Start Social @ 6:00. Guest Speaker (Don Bureau) @ 6:30.

            + Revisions to Director Job Description. (PB) Will send out for review. Time commitment; 2-3 hours per week.

Committees:

            + Finance: Financial Update (CB); We won’t break even.

            + Campground / VIC (JM): See Report – VIC and Campground Update – October 2019
